Jake Hillman - Alumnus Emeritus
Jacob "Jake" Hillman is the Training Administrator at SOFCU Community Credit Union, and a member of the
ServiStar Alumni Emeritus Program. He oversees most of the operational training needs for frontline team members, and all of the sales and service training needs for both front line and support staff. Jake, along with the Vice President of Sales and Service, oversees coaching training for all new managers, and helps drive the sales and service culture for ten branches and two offices throughout Southern Oregon.
In his over 10 years with the credit union, Jake has worked in almost every aspect of operations including consumer lending, investing, and management. Today, he is responsible for employee development through training and education. He conducts a wide range of training for all levels and positions in the organization including coaching, sales and service, management development, operational technical skills, and advocates education through his credit union's in-house university. Jake is a firm believer in the ServiStar methods, and spends time coaching coaches, conducting roundtables and supporting the staff in their abilities to improve members' financial lives.
Jake has won awards in public relations and community involvement. In 2007, Jake was presented the President's Outstanding Achievement Award in Service, and has been recognized by his peers for excellence in training and internal service. He is passionate about the sales and service culture, and believes in the power of coaching. Jake is an advocate of ServiStar and mentors other MNA users across the country.
He is currently working on finishing his Bachelors degree in business management, with an emphasis on human resources from the University of Phoenix, and is also a graduate of Western CUNA Management School.
